Four Starr Genetics is driven with the aim of producing cattle that incorporates genetics of unique and diverse origin. Utilizing paths of modern reproductive technology and fundamental modern selection criteria, the product yields dividends for every customer and fellow breeders. Throughout our history in the Fleckvieh breed, we strive to produce a product reflecting the research, development and execution of superior genetics, even when adversity of trends present themselves. Our breeding philosophy is defined with vision, producing livestock that prove timeless value.
Here at Four Starr Genetics, we market our genetics primarily by private treaty. This gives you a relaxed and enjoyable opportunity to tour our farm, look at our breeding program, which may include an interest in Fleckvieh, Belted Galloways or our newest addition Highlands. So, Whether it be semen, embryos or live cattle you are interested in, you will find a wide genetic diversity and many outcross genetics that will add that needed new bloodline to make a positive contribution to your program.
Four Starr Genetics was established in 1982. We have seen many sides of this breed over the decades, but found our way to Fleckviehs early on, as a positive influential breed for the commercial buyer. Our cattle are raised in the heart of the Ozarks under a fescue based forage and you will find are easy- keeping, fertile, fast-gaining and efficient beef producing animals, with excellent maternal abilities. Here at Four Starr Genetics we utilize many of the early bulls from the 1970’s, when the German and Austrian programs were oriented towards beef production and loaded with muscle. Our herd of 150 Fleckvieh based fullbloods and a few high percentage black fleckviehs have proven them selves to work for our customers.
